Vaccinations

Well I finally got my India vaccinations Thursday. I hate the idea of putting a disease into my body in order to dispel a larger one. I also hate needles, so the trip to the clinic was not a pleasurable one. I made Sean go with me and hold my hand as I sat whimpering in the chair like a baby... apparently nothing has changed since I was six. And of course, to make me feel even more comfortable, they have a nursing student who has been giving shots for a FULL THREE DAYS administering the vaccines... perfect. The polio one wasn't bad, but the Tetanus one hurt and made my shoulder muscle hurt for a few days.

Note to self: Don't lie about not being sick the next time they give you vaccines...

My immune system couldn't fight off the vaccine and my previous flu at the same time and that night after the shots, I got crazy sick. My temperature had to have been over a hundred, because you could have cooked a steak on my forehead. I was sweating and freezing at the same time, nauseous with a slitting head ache. I even went delusional at one point. It was not fun.

It's been about two days since, and I am still feeling under the weather. Better here than in India!!!!!!!
