Day 19

Day Nineteen….

The three of us are beginning to lose our minds….

I blame it on the lack of beef protein in our diets… Mad no Cow disease

Today I started thinking about all the things I miss back home… besides the obvious like family and friends, I miss meat… I miss meat so much. I miss meat so much I wrote a rap song about it. It's called beef song… and Ill give you a little taste here.

Im in india and there are cows everywhere
In the streets but no one really seems to care

Theres no meat in sight
Oh that just aint right
I need my beef now cuz Imma damn white

We need our beef three times a day
Ill take it served up any kind of way

Grill it… smoke it…or you can feed me raw
Grind…. it up… Ill drink it through a straw

I aint talkin about no pork sausage
i want some beef sausage
Some nice lean sausage
Thats what I call real sausage
When its a meal sausage
God I could really go for some veal sausage

I swear Im straight up bout to go... slaughter that cow
The one next door... hooked ---up to some kind of plow

Oh that would be so hood
And it would taste so good
Oh if they wouldn't kill me…. You straight up know I would

Put it in the freezer
Take it out for later
If you don't like meat then your a hater…. :(

Ariana says the cravings will subside in a few days…

Besides meat, I also miss being able to drink out of the sink. I miss mattresses and I miss my car. I miss the river and being able to lay out in the sun without melting. I miss hot showers, tanning, and the gym. I miss being able to wear dresses and shorts. I miss knowing what road signs say. I miss being able to buy fruit and vegetables without worrying about whether it will make me sick. I miss so many things.

But most of all I really miss meat, beef in particular. I don't even eat hamburgers in the states, but here, just a few days ago, I started craving them. A juicy Burgarville hamburger dripping with grease and cheese and lettuce….. and special sauce…

My mouth is seriously watering right now.

We have been working so hard this past week and haven't been getting much sleep. The dogs have been howling around three am every morning waking us up. Ritu says the only times they do that are when there are evil spirits around. I believe it too. There is a presence in this house and it whispers to us every night right before we snuggle into bed and close our eyes. It is an eerie voice that makes us pull the sheets up over our heads… sadistic and taunting. A shadow appears. At first, you can't make out much. Then the figure moves closer and you can see a big fat red nose. His abnormally sized red shoes squeak as he steps across the floor. Another shadow appears. It's a girl with red pigtails and a blue plaid dress. Then a third figure approaches. He is wearing what looks like a bath robe and a… is that a...?… NO….?

The covers are whipped off our heads, and the granddaddy of all evil spirits is standing there… His plastic face stretched tight into a grin and a crown on top of his head…

The KING!

"Have it your way, " he says smirking unrelentlessly, " Have it your way."

…. I told you I am losing my mind
